A Los Angeles native, Emily is an undergraduate Neuroscience major at UCLA. She is interested in sleep regulation, learning and memory, and cognitive and neural mechanisms of memory formation in humans. She spends her time volunteering with internship organizations that work with UCLA to provide healthcare for underserved communities. Emily seeks to contribute what she has learned from the hospital setting to the lab’s research aimed at understanding pain-induced neuronal alterations.
Outside of the lab, Emily spends her free time going on evening runs around Westwood, reading heartwarming novels by Toshikazu Kawaguchi, or going on adventures with friends.
