Collin Teague is currently a 3rd year medical student at UCLA and aspiring physician-scientist specializing in psychiatry.
Originally from Arizona, he completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in biology and biochemistry.
He then moved to New York and completed a PhD in neuroscience in Dr. Eric Nestler’s laboratory at Mount Sinai. His graduate studies focused on the molecular and epigenetic mechanisms underlying cocaine use disorder within the brain's reward circuitry in rodent models. Since joining the lab, he has been developing a novel technology that will enable wireless intravenous drug self-administration in rodents and the study of addiction-like behavior within naturalistic environments.
Outside the lab, he is most likely to be found traversing mountain tops, in search of the best cold brew, and perfecting his golf swing.
